NEW YORK TAXI LIVERY, LIMO, BLACK CAR INSURANCE REQUIREMENTS:

• Liability Insurance pays others for damages that you cause if you are responsible for an accident. It does not cover medical expenses.
• Personal Injury Protection (PIP) pays medical expenses if you or other persons covered pays your medical expenses if you were or were not at fault.
• Uninsured Motorist Coverage protects you if you are in an accident with someone who doesn’t have proper insurance coverage.

OUR SERVICES:

App Based Companies – we insure all New York City Rideshare or Transportation Network Companies including but not limited to Uber, Lyft, Juno, and Gett.

Yellow Medallion Taxicabs – the official taxis of New York City. Yellow Medallion Taxicabs provide transportation for passengers via street hails. Yellow Taxicabs are inspected by the NYC TLC 3 times per year and are driven only by licensed yellow taxicabs.

Street Hail Liveries (Green Cabs) – These cars provide additional street-hail services in Northern Manhattan, the Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens, and Staten Island.  Street Hail Liveries are inspected by the NYC TLC twice per year.

Black Car Services – For hire vehicles that provide prearranged contracted services including agreements with corporate clients. The vehicles must be associated with a black car base or dispatch provider. Black car vehicles are inspected by the NYC TLC once every two years.

Community Car Services (Livery) – Outside of black car services, a community car service is a non-medallion four door private passenger vehicle seating six or less, operating from an authorized TLC radio base providing pre-arranged transportation throughout New York City.

Luxury Limousine Services – Luxury, four door (other than black car) non-medallion sedan seating six or less, and dispatched by a two-way radio or computer operated from an authorized and licensed Taxi and Limousine Commission (TLC) radio base.  The base is permitted to accept cash, vouchers, or corporate accounts providing prearranged premium transportation to clients throughout New York City.

Paratransit Services – vehicles that provide transportation for medically related purposes.  The vehicles must be dispatched by a paratransit base.

Workers Compensation – New York is a no-fault workers’ compensation State.  As such, workers’ compensation Insurance guarantees both medical care and weekly cash benefit to people who are injured on the job. We provide workers compensation coverage to the for-hire industry.
